Our goal is to provide total health care for all family members 12 years of age or older. We are dedicated to helping you and your family stay healthy with a full range of preventative services. We utilize state-of-the-art medical and computer equipment to provide our patients with high-quality healthcare.
We understand your time is valuable and, like most patients, appreciate convenience of care. For this reason, we try to provide as much of your care here at the office, including in-office labs, x-ray, and a multitude of diagnostic resources.

Emergency Care
For an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
If your problem is not life threatening, call our office at
706-353-7648. Usually, we can take care of your problem quickly in our office without you having to visit an emergency room. |

Appointments
Our doctors value your time. If you have made an appointment, the wait to see a doctor is usually no longer than 15 - 20 minutes. As a convenience to you, please make an appointment using our secure Patient Portal. If you are a new patient, please call our office today to register and schedule your initial appointment. Our doctors will try to see you the same day whenever possible. If this is not possible, we can typically see you within 24 - 48 business hours. We do reserve some appointment slots for unanticipated visits on Saturday morning, but these usually fill quickly, so log in or call early (after 8:00am) if you need to be seen on the weekend. |

Payment Information
We accept payments for services over and above your insurance coverage, such as co-pays and deductibles, due on the date of service. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Debit, Cash, and personal Checks when possible

NO SHOW POLICY
Athens Associates in Family Practice strives to be available to our patients to provide quality healthcare. When a patient does not show up for their requested appointment without notifying AAFP in advance, other patients are not able to be seen. We feel that it is very important that each patient in our care be given the opportunity to be seen as needed and patients who habitually do not show up for their requested appointments work contrary to this important philosophy. If a patient does not show up for their requested appointment, that patient will be subject to our NO SHOW POLICY. This policy will add a $30 Fee to the patient's account for their scheduled appointment time. Should the patient NO SHOW again or cancel their appointment without providing a 24-hour notice, a credit card will be required to make an appointment or the patient will be required to come by and place a deposit on their account in order to schedule an appointment. The credit card will be held on file and charged $30 for the missed appointment without prior notice of cancellation. Please help AAFP to provide all our patients with much needed healthcare by contacting our office 24-hours before your appointment time, if you are not going to be able to attend. |
